Aggie History

The Aggie is the second largest venue in downtown Fort Collins residing in a turn of the century Old Town building. Built in 1906, the Aggie started out as furniture store, then became a movie theater. In 1993 it had rocking chairs for seats! In Dec of 1995 the Aggie had it’s last official movie as a cinema. Soon after the Aggie Theatre was born as a live music venue.

The Aggie is known as FoCo’s main spot for hosting nationally touring acts. Artists such as PROF, 311, Leo Kottke, Pepper and many more regularly have recently graced the Aggie’s stage.

The long-term vision for the Aggie is to continue to provide high quality productions of National touring acts to broader audiences. While we will bring the current favorites, our heart remains committed to a focus on local artist development along the way as today’s openers are tomorrows headliners and our home town is a hotbed for talent.
